1. Principles
Geninho processes data based on:
- minimal collection,
- specific purpose,
- controlled access,
- continuous security review.
2. Account security
- authentication through trusted providers,
- biometric support on compatible devices,
- permission separation by role (guardian vs. child),
- option to sign out and delete the account from within the app.
3. Platform security
- data protection in transit and at rest using the features of the vendors we use,
- operational monitoring,
- continuous improvement of security practices.
4. OCR, AI, and human review
- OCR extraction happens on the device before the AI step,
- import and classification results may contain noise and should be reviewed,
- AI-generated quizzes and plans are intended as pedagogical support.
5. YouTube use
- YouTube links are only offered when that permission is enabled on the student’s profile.
- Without that permission, the app must not suggest YouTube links in the study and quiz flows.
6. Security incidents
Relevant incidents are handled as a technical priority. When applicable, affected users may be notified through appropriate channels.
7. Recommended best practices
- keep your device and operating system up to date,
- use strong authentication with your login provider,
- avoid sharing accounts,
- review imported school data periodically.
